The following is an email recently received from ’76 graduate Gilbert Alderete:

Hello everyone. It has been a long time. Hope everyone is doing well. I am sending this message to invite any Jeff Davis Alumni, Family and friends to support an upcoming event.  My son-in-law Marco Bernal Jr. Son of Marco Bernal Sr. (Class of 76′) and Juanita (Rodriguez) Bernal Class of 76’and Destiny (Alderete) Bernal, Daughter of Lydia (Ramos) Alderete (Class 0f 77′) and Gilbert Alderete Jr. (Class 0f 76′).  They are the Producer and Co-Producer of a dance production (Deadly Seven) being held at the Hobby Center November 9, 2013.  It is a one night show.  They have worked and sacrificed a lot of time and money on this production.  We are very proud of both of them.  Marco has written several other plays if all goes well with this show.  Both Marco and Destiny are also Jeff Davis graduates.  Destiny currently teaches at Davis.  It is an adult content show.
